Richard Pressley  1970

Richard Pressley has enjoyed performances of his works in the U.S. and Europe. He received his B.M. from Butler University, his B.A. from the University of Cambridge, and his Ph. D from the University of Minnesota; also doing post-doctoral study at the Karlsruhe Musikhochschule and Darmstadt in Germany. His composition instructors include Wolfgang Rihm, Sandeep Bhagwati, Dominick Argento, Judith Lang Zaimont, Alex Lubet, Daniel Chua, and Michael Schelle. He has also participated in master classes and private sessions with many of today’s leading composers. Currently, he lives in Columbia, South Carolina, USA.
