This piece was written for harp solo in 1983 and revised in 2008. It is based entirely on an Indian raga, ‘Puria Dahaneshri’, which uses the notes D, Eb, F#, G#, A, Bb, C#, D. Following the statement of the raga are effectively four variations, each transforming the mood and style, although the opening statement and final variation maintain the original Indian style.
