The New Music Commissioning Fund

We've recently set up this fund in order to allow people to donate small amounts towards what we feel is a really worthwhile cause.

Plans are underway for an international new music event, that will take place in early 2011. The event will centre upon the completion of a new body of compositions for a particular instrument that will consequently disseminated into the wider repertoire.

Importantly, the event will bring new music to a very wide audience - consisting of both children and adults - through a large number of educational projects complimenting the performances of the new works.

Naturally this sort of project is expensive and Arcomis is looking to raise funds in a variety of ways - perhaps the most important people in this process however will be individual donors without whose support the project simply will not take place.

The aim of the New Music Commissioning Fund is to allow individuals to donate small amounts towards the costs of large projects.

Every penny raised will be used to help support the commissioning of quality new music and everyone who donates to the fund will be kept up-to-date of how the money is being used.
