New Music at the Flute Event
There will be an array of new music at the Flute Event.
In Concert:
The Arcomis Flute Album
Being launched at the Flute Event the album will consist of a number of new works written for solo flute, flute and piano and multiple flutes. There will be at least one specific concert dedicated to the Album alongside several performances of individual works throughout the weekend within the Wales Millennium Centre.

The Rowland Sutherland Sextet perform some of their recently written works that blend a number of different musical styles.
Within Masterclasses and Workshops:
Sharon Bezaly’s masterclass focuses on two fantastic recent works for the flute.

Brett Dean, Demons (2005)
Juliette Hurel’s masterclass will focus upon French flute repertoire of the twentieth century specifically music by Dutilleux, Jolivet and Poulenc.
Ian Clarke will lead a workshop based upon extended techniques used in some of his compositions primarily for performers but that will be of interest to other composers.
