Contemporary Flute Adventures
Leading player-composer Ian Clarke gives a taste of some of the expressive and learning possibilities associated with the wide range of flute techniques used in his own internationally performed compositions, such as Zoom Tube and The Great Train Race, and in other contemporary repertoire. The session will be interesting, relevant and, above all, fun for all levels of flute player, showing that so-called ‘extended’ techniques are for the many, not just the few.
