Weddings: What will it sound like?
You may have ideas about what sort of music you would like to have written for you so we will listen to any ideas you may have and we will be able to give you a few suggestions that might be of interest related to what you've suggested.
For example, as well as using other pieces of music as starting points composers have used people's initials or some aspect from their lives, such as a favourite place, as inspiration for a piece. There are no limits: we are able to ensure that having a new piece of music composed for a wedding is a truly personal, enjoyable and rewarding experience!
It is also extremely fulfilling for all involved when new music has a life following its first performance: as well as Arcomis organising a recording it is possible to arrange a professional public performance of the new piece which can take place when everything has calmed down after the big day!
The Options: Choosing music, instruments and a style.
There are endless possibilities concerning the types of music that can be written: short solo pieces to be performed during a ceremony, a work for a string quartet, or even something as large-scale as a few new pieces for a big-band to be performed during an evening reception. It is often helpful to bear in mind the instruments that would suit your venue. Again Arcomis is able to advise on what might be suitable.
