Weddings: Why commission new music?
Selecting music for a wedding ceremony or reception can be a daunting task. With so many pieces of music to choose from it can be hard to find something that is really meaningful. There are however many appropriate works from which to choose and you now also have the choice of saying something which has never been said before through commissioning your own piece of music.
Arcomis can arrange the composition of a new work which will be written specially for the occasion. It can be performed during the ceremony, at the reception or at a later date by either live musicians or on CD. New pieces are always composed in consultation with the people getting married (or the commissioner if not the couple) in order to provide a genuinely individual and highly memorable contribution to the wedding proceedings!
We work with a large number of professional composers who each write in their own style. Our role at Arcomis is to provide the bride and groom with something highly personalised that will really enhance their wedding day and which will also be something special to look back upon for many years after the event.
Music as a gift
