Arcomis Launch Concert

Arcomis, in association with the London Contemporary Music Group, Cardiff University, and the Society for Music Analysis, held a launch event at Cardiff University. The launch concert consisted of an unprecedented ten world premieres of new works composed as 'homages' to the American composer Elliott Carter who celebrates his 100th birthday this year!

The launch event is typical of the sort of project that Arcomis is involved with: ten composers contributing to a single 'Garland' with all pieces taking Bach's Musical Offering as a starting point. The project took over six months to put together and is ongoing with other composers still contributing to the project for the next performance of the pieces which will take place in Oxford on November 5th.
